Ben Hinchey, Trainer
Ben got his start playing competitive soccer in Glen Ellyn when he was nine years old. This includes three seasons on the Glenbard West Boys Varsity Soccer team where he, as a team captain, earned all-conference, all-sectional, and all-area honors.He attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was a part of the Division I Men’s Soccer team for four years. During his career at Butler the team was NCAA nationally ranked and highly regarded as a top Midwestern soccer program. Ben has been working with the Raiders as a trainer since 2003. He also organizes and runs the Raiders Youth Summer Camp. He currently holds a National ‘D’ level FIFA coaching license. In addition to his soccer experience, Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing degree from Butler and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Education degree from Benedictine University.

Lisa Warner, Trainer
Lisa began her playing career at seven years old with the Lombard Soccer Club. She attended Glenbard South High School where she started for the Girls Varsity Soccer team for four years. She was a team captain and earned all-conference and all-area honors. In 1999 and 2000, Lisa’s team took 2nd and 3rd place in the National Got Milk 3v3 Soccer Championships. Lisa received a scholarship to play Division II soccer at the University of Missouri-Rolla. After one season as a starter with UMR, Lisa transferred to Concordia University of Chicago. During her time at Concordia, Lisa was voted as the team captain and still holds the school record for game winning goals. She was also recognized as an All-Northern Athletics Conference athlete. Lisa has been a trainer with the Raiders since 2001. She also co-organizes and runs the Raiders Youth Summer Camp. She currently holds a National ‘D’ level FIFA coaching license. In addition to her soccer experience, Lisa holds a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education-Sociology degree from Concordia University of Chicago.

Dan Warner, Trainer
Dan’s involvement with soccer began almost twenty years ago when his oldest daughter first began playing. Over the years, Dan has trained and/or coached club soccer with the Lombard Soccer Club, Lombard Ladyhawks, Lombard Firebirds, Wheaton Wings, Darien Xtreme, Glen Ellyn Raiders and currently the Synergy Soccer Club. Additionally, he has trained at Glenbard South High School and with the Future Pros Soccer Training Program. Dan has developed teams that have progressed to compete at the highest national levels. He, also, has had much success with teams competing at the National 3 v 3 Championships. Dan started and ran the Raiders Developmental Summer Camps for eight years aimed at developing new, young soccer players technically and tactically. Dozens of players that Dan has trained have or are currently having successful soccer careers at colleges such as University of Iowa, St. Louis University, and Louisiana Tech. Dan holds a National FIFA Coaching License and ISSA Amateur Coaching License. In addition to his soccer experience, Dan is in his 22nd year of teaching at Woodridge School District #68 and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Masters of Art in Teaching Degree.

Bruce Janek, Co-Trainer
Bruce is now signed on as the goalkeeper trainer for all the Synergy teams. Bruce was an all-conference and all-academic goalkeeper at Millikin University.
Kelly Warner, Co-Trainer
Kelly works with teams at several age levels in the club. While playing at Western Illinois University for four years, she was named to the Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence and received Academic All-Conference Honors. Kelly also finished ranked sixth in school history for career points. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, and currently teaches in Woodridge.
